The moment I met her, I knew Frankie Zeferino was someone worth waiting for. I've had a problem at work since the day Ren Bergman joined the team: a six foot three hunk of happy with a sunshine smile. I'm a grumbly grump, and his ridiculously good nature drives me nuts, but even I can't entirely ignore that hot tamale of a ginger with icy eyes, the perfect playoff beard, and a body built for sin that he's annoyingly modest about.
Before I got wise, I would have tripped over myself to get a guy like Ren, but with my diagnosis, I've learned what I am to most people in my life - a problem, not a person. Now, opening my heart to anyone, no matter how sweet, is the last thing I'm prepared to do.

So Amazing!
This book was so perfect. It was about Frankie (Franchesca) and Ren. Ren is a hockey player and Frankie is the teams social media person. Frankie has autism as well as Rheumatoid arthritis. She has a cane that she named and she considers herself grumpy, but really she is just dealing with pain and a different way of looking at the world and she has never felt accepted.
When she begins to fall in love with Ren she is scared because she feels like she's a lot to handle and he will get tired of it all. Their love story is so real and amazing and it's definitely full of steamy moments, but it's the tenderness and the empathy of the characters that really makes this novel so incredible. The narration was terrific and I was totally invested in this couple and their story.
Chloe Liese is very inclusive in her writing and creates amazing characters, but not in a way that is just checking a box, in a real and meaningful way. I am so excited for the rest of the Bergman Brothers now. 5/5+ for this book.

Beautiful Romance
I’d already read this when it was released but I loved listening to the audiobook as well. Both performances were great. Fun slow burn contemporary romance with laughs and great disability representation.
I was sad to read the other review of this audiobook and see such bigotry and ableism in it.
Highly recommend this entire series.

Ren Bergman
Ren Bergman owns my heart with a side of Frankie. I love the Bergman family. All of their audio books are perfect.

This story was kind of boring
Heard good things about this book. Not worth the hype I find. Was very boring imo. Ren was a good character. But Frankie was annoying and used her illness as an excuse to victimize herself through out the book. As if autism and RA is such a terrible disease that she needed to hide it from everyone and act a certain way because people would pity her. I felt like this wasn’t accurate and I feel like the author missed the mark on this. There was nothing wrong with Frankie mentally. she was just blunt and very sensitive. She was very low on the autism spectrum if she’s working for an nhl team, travelling constantly, living alone, and taking care of animals, going back to university all while having RA. There’s clearly nothing that wrong with her. Even healthy people have trouble doing all she does…. Anyways. For me it didn’t merit her behaviour towards Ren. I feel like it was over exaggerated and immature. You would think you would want to be treated with love and care regardless of disability or not. But apparently with her illness she didn’t want to be treated with respect and love so i found it missed the mark. Why wouldn’t you want the person you love to care more about you then a job. It was just an odd thing to fight about… illness or not. I would not recommend this book even if it’s free on audible.
