Rosalyn Landor is QUEEN at narration!
JQ calls this story her homage to Cinderella. It that regard, it's exactly what you would expect... but there is so much more to this story than that! Sophie's sweetness, Violet's understanding, Benedict's longing... all of it was lovely. And in a series like Bridgerton, where most of the perspectives are seen from those born with silver spoons in their mouths, this story was refreshingly different. In any case, it has dethroned RMB as my favorite Bridgerton novel!

My favourite thus far

Cinderella
This is the story of Cinderella but with sex. Alot of classism in it. But it's still a compelling story that I was interested in. The VA does the same voice for all the male and female characters so that was hard to understand.

Very good! A good Surprise!
My initial opinion definitely changed as I continued to read the story. I first thought is was a retelling of Cinderlla just in Regency Era London, but it has more twists and surprises.
Benedict's story was a pleasant surprise.

Like a Cinderella story, but so much better
When I read the description for this book, I thought it sounded a little too much like that classic Cinderella story. However, I love a good Cinderella story and I've loved the previous books in the Bridgerton series. So, I went ahead and listened. Needless to say, Julia Quinn did not disappoint. This story is even more magical than her previous her novels and I did not want to pause it when I finished a chapter. The second epilogue offers closure that makes the characters even more endearing, yet leaves the story open for future exploration. I can't wait to listen to the next story in this series, especially with Rosalyn Landor's narration.
