Very engaging and sexy, if who doesn't fit in
I really enjoyed this -- might even try to find the next part. The taxidermy descriptions could give some people pause...

I'll Definitely Listen To It Again
This really was a very sweet romance. There is full, actualized sex scenes, of course, but Clem and Rowley are just so loveable and mushy that the scenes lacked some of the steam that I know K. J. Charles is capable of. I think that my only criticism of their relationship would be that at times Clem was a bit too naive for a man that seemed to have more experience than his partner (Rowley), and those scenes felt a bit childish. Overall, though, their relationship was very enjoyable.
The mystery aspect of the novel was decent, though--to me--it was rather obvious who the "villain" was. There were some bits that weren't quite explained, but it came together in the end.
Overall, this was a pleasing book that I would gladly listen to again. Matthew Lloyd Davies' narration is superb. I'm looking forward to the next in the series!

Very sweet and lovely!
I like stories without a lot of heartaches and break-ups. This story just so sweet and lovely with an interesting mystery to it. Although I wish it was a bit longer. The mystery wasn't touch on as much a I expected. Not to say it's bad; but it's just that perhaps I was expecting a Iot more actions and adventures.
Although, there's still a fair amount of actions going on considering the story's pacing and the book's length.
Regardless, the performance of Matthew Llyod Davies is absolutely superb! All the characters in the book feels individualised due to his voice acting. Felt like listen to a film created inside your head. It's very easy to forget the real world around you; while immersive youself to this narrative.
