His stature as a producer of beautifully executed period movies and television series has made him well-known throughout the world. Lucy Maud Montgomery, the author of the Anne of Green Gables book series, was born in Prince Edward Island and grew up with grandparents, just like her beloved heroine, Anne Shirley. Originally published in 1908, the Anne of Green Gables series became a literary classic that has been translated into 36 languages around the world, and has entered its 115th year of publication.

Great version of the book

An enjoyable abridged edition of a classic favorite. The afterward with Kevin Sullivan's thoughts on the novel and his iconic movie adaptation of it was really interesting.
