À propos de cet audio

The Apocalypse Tamer Complete Series Bundle is 4 full books of a LitRPG adventure about a young man who gains the ability to tame apocalyptic monsters to survive after the System Invasion.

Basil Bohen was asleep when the System arrived and the world changed...

Dungeons suddenly popped up across the planet, summoning invaders and monsters from alternate realities. Ancient gods slumbering beneath the Earth were woken. And all humans were empowered with Levels and Classes gained by, amongst other things, killing monsters and other humans.

Only a single instruction was provided by the System: “Whoever reaches Level 100 first shall become Earth’s new Overgod.”

So, a worldwide battle of epic proportions erupted... which Basil would rather sit out. Choosing the [Tamer] profession which allows him to speak with his cat, Plato, and other apocalyptic monsters, he'll adopt and train them to fight alongside him and defend his corner of the countryside.

After all, why bother fighting the apocalypse when you can tame it?

Experience this special edition LitRPG box set of Apocalypse Tamer, by Maxime J. Durand, bestselling author of Vainqueur the Dragon and The Perfect Run. Full of equal parts action and laughs, this story is a satirical take on the typical LitRPG Apocalypse stories blended with elements of Pokémon and Monster Rancher.

About the Series: Join Basil as he progresses from Level 1 to 100 all while refusing to play by the rules of the System. Able to recruit monsters to join him with his [Tamer] class, Basil grows a party of unique creatures to keep him company in the end of the world. They'll experience dungeon diving, battles, and building a little slice of forest into a defensible base.

From the heart to yours

Love, action, adventure, a great story with and even better ending, this book was well written and told of friendships and adversity in at the end days and that the end is not the true end.

wish i had read this instead of listening

love the story. funny episodes. BUT the narrator believes he is reading to grade 6 . overacted voices and sometimes almost incomprehensible. uses a supercilious vouce for the protaganist . until now i thought i would enjoy anyone reading to me.I use my audiobooks as background when i go to sleep. one of his yells made me sit up in bed and took quite a while to get back to sleep . i want to rebuy this book as a print copy.

Lots of fun!

Love the concept, I was onboard for most of the series. I could have done without the Warhammer 40k content, but that's if you're a Warhammer miniatures player I bet that was fun too.

Basil is Boring

The plot is okay I'm not generally a big fan of Tamer type characters but thought I'd give this one a go. The story has several massive flaws that make it rather boring;

1: The main character has almost no interest in doing anything beyond staying at home with his cat. He only begins interacting with things because monsters keep showing up at his house to cause problems.

2: The main character lacks any kind of driving force behind most of what he does other than he doesn't want to be doing most of what he finds himself dealing with.

3: The main character seems to almost pick up classes at random simply because he thinks they may be useful rather than actually focusing on any one particular class, making him a multi class mess and a jack of all trades but master of none. Despite this he still somehow manages to deal with threats far beyond his power level mostly through dumb luck.

4: The story itself seems to be a bit all over and doesn't seem to have a very cohesive plot other than some tech company did something that has maybe caused some sort of apocalypse, maybe the MC will eventually get around to trying to find out why and how when he can both to leave his house.

On top of the subpar plot and a MC that may be one of the least interesting characters I have ever comes across (certainly the most boring for a progression rpg system apocalypse story). The narrator who I have listened to before does a horrible accent for several characters including the MC, and many of his female voices are worse than nails on a chalkboard.

I only managed to get a little into book 2 (I think) before I quit listening. This is the third or fourth series I've tried reading or listening to by this author and I will not try any more as I have disliked all of them.
