À propos de cet audio

"A compulsively entertaining whodunit." ( New York Times Book Review)
"Entertaining...Saylor's sense of style and elegantly witty writing make the most of this genre transference." ( Boston Guide)

Lucius Licinius, the overseer of Crassus’ estate in Baiae has been brutally murdered and the blame has fallen on two runaway slaves who are said to be going to join Spartacus. Crashes has vowed to kill all 99 slaves on the estate after the funeral games for Licinius. Gordianus has three days to find the truth and divert the slaughter.
This is a vivid exposé of the realities of slavery in the last days of the Roman Republic, the attitudes towards them as they are considered property and not persons. There is adventure, greed, politics, and treason.
This is narrated by Scott Harrison who also narrated Roman Blood. I enjoyed this audio book, and recommend it.
