À propos de cet audio
Around the World in 80 Days is a classic adventure novel, written by Jules Verne in 1873. In the story, Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed French valet, Passepartout, attempt to circumnavigate the world in 80 days on a £20,000 wager (equal to £1,324,289 or $2,082,576 today) set by his friends at the Reform Club.
Accompanied by Passepartout, he leaves London by train and travels to Egypt via the Suez Canal. On their way to India, they’re being watched by a Scotland Yard detective named Fix who has been dispatched from London in search of a bank robber. Because Fogg matches the description of the bank robber, Fix mistakes Fogg for the criminal and follows them everywhere they go.
Their adventure becomes entangled with various events, including rescuing a young Parsi woman, Aouda, and finding her lost relative.
