Finally make a living doing what you love.
Why is it that some artists are wildly successful, while others just barely squeak by?
It may seem like an unfathomable mystery how some are earning six figures while other more talented artists are struggling. Maria Brophy has dedicated 20 years of her life to researching the specific strategies that successful artists follow. After applying these strategies to her husband Drew Brophy's career, Maria grew his art sales to multiple six figures yearly.
In Art Money Success, Maria tells personal stories of her own business deals, successes, and failures while sharing unconventional wisdom that will explode your art sales. With the guided written exercises (get free worksheet downloads that accompany this audiobook at Maria Brophy's website), you can apply the insights to your own art business for immediate results.
The tools inside will help you:
- Connect with your right buyers
- Increase your money income
- Sell art easily and negotiate nicely

Incredibly informative
One of the best books I've ever read on the business of being an artist, and I've read many since I've run my own art business for over 30 years. I'll be referring back to this again and again.

Wow- I wish I had found this 20+ years ago
I am recently returned to my painting and marketing, having started into this 24 years ago in the pre-Internet days but departing when I tired of low prices, markets, the “struggle”.
I was devouring podcasts, YouTube videos and other audio books - this book truly steps away from the dusty stereotypical advice I was quickly tiring of hearing. Better yet, it trains you into an abundance mindset and promotes self respect for the artist and their endeavours.
Drew and Maria have lived the journey and it shows. Savvy tips, anecdotal stories, contract agreements, licensing , reproductions, copyright, trade shows etc - this book has it all for an artist at every stage of their journey. I am not given to writing reviews but i immediately shared this title with another artist when I was in the last hour of the audio.
There is new content here on marketing, and better yet, new approaches, ideas on how to maximize things in your favour … I am a creative gal but by the end of this book, I was seeing my business structure very differently, and better informed. For the first time, I see prosperity as a distinct possibility versus the mindset of “the struggle”.
A gem of a book and I will be looking for more from this author.

Enfin !

Direct, yet still inspiring.
This book is my favourite art business book, for sure. I found all the chapters to be generally equally very interesting, and also different. There's a lot of examples from her/Drew's business selling surf art, but I didn't really think that it focused too much on that. You could see exactly how those examples could be directly translated into something more applicable for you and your art business. I would also recommend to people starting up photography potentially.
I loved how direct a lot of the advice is, while still feeling inspirational.

Honest and insightful
A real and informative book from someone who has lived it. The real life examples of situations and how to handle them along with do's and don't were especially helpful.

Not for me
I found this book to concentrate too much on the niche market of the SoCal area and the author's husband. The delivery was dry and not very appealing. I'm sure it is good for some but it really wasn't for me.
