À propos de cet audio
When dark portals open, paragons will awaken.
Israel and Erin are strangers who wake up in a dark subbasement with no memory of how they got there. As they work together to escape, they encounter the clandestine Sentry Group and are thrust into a hidden subculture of monsters, secret societies, and carefully concealed history.
The truth of human history isn't the only surprise waiting for them, though, as the power hidden deep within their DNA suddenly manifests.
A man cursed with a monstrous hunger.
A woman who can bend space and time.
As a cult devoted to the Dark Old Ones plots to unleash their hellish masters upon the planet, will Israel and Erin stand against the coming darkness or stand back and let humanity fend for itself?

Recommend for multiverse lovers
A nice remastering of mutation genre mixed with multiverse theory.
I enjoyed listening and also presented well.

sort of X-Men like but different
A guy named Israel wakes up in what looks like a dungeon. Ae awakens the woman beside him and they try to escape. They find they've had what could only be called superpowers, that also have a downside, somehow awakened within them. They also find out there's I guess three groups, a doomsday cult that wants to bring around the end of the world, a group of sentries that want to stop them, and the government.
This was a good start to the series. Learning about the various bloodlines and powers and political structures worked well as did the action. I might pick up the next in the series my hesitancy would be because they start becoming repetitive. Because of course in this book they save the world what more is there to do in the next book?
The characters are interesting, the powers are interesting. The performance overall is very good there's just one character he voices named Stone, which I felt should have been done as a British accent or maybe Australian, given the words the guy uses but he unfortunately was done in an American accent as are all the rest of the characters
