  • Dive into Deeptech | DNA Storage Lab @Technion
    May 31 2024

In this episode, we are joined by Prof. Zohar Yakhini and Dr. Eitan Yakoobi. They discuss what sparked their interest in this research field, the various applications of DNA as a storage medium, and the future direction of R&D in this area. Tune in to the full episode to learn more about their work and their collaborations with research groups worldwide to bring the next breakthrough to market.

About the DNA Storage Lab: The mission of the DNA Storage Lab is to conduct both theoretical and applied research for the development of DNA-based storage systems. This involves developing and adapting theoretical frameworks from disciplines such as coding theory, information theory, algorithms, discrete mathematics, algebra, machine learning, and more. These theories are implemented and tested using several tools in our lab, including the SOLQC and the DNA-Storalator, as well as through wet experiments involving DNA synthesis and sequencing.
