À propos de cet audio
These conditions include allergic responses, headaches, hormone imbalances, eczema or asthma attacks that become worse, thyroid issues, and weakened immune systems. These compounds, which are included in perfume recipes but are often not declared on product packaging due to confidentiality agreements in place during the production of commercially labeled fragrances, pose health hazards.
Approximately half of the chemicals listed are petrochemicals, meaning they are generated from natural gas or petroleum. These compounds are not required to be mentioned. The fact that over 300 of these compounds may be used to make perfumes, and that over 43 percent of them have not been studied or approved by the FDA, is even more concerning.
Commercial perfumes do have a tendency to smell stronger than organic fragrances, but this is also because fixative compounds such diethyl phthalates are added. Regular exposure to these compounds in perfume has very significant potential health risks, which include poor sperm count, probable birth problems, and an increased chance of cancer. Three newborn newborns were the subject of a research by the Environment Defense Group about chemical presence. The results indicated 137 different compounds.
Certain molecules that are present in babies are utilized in fragrances, although not all of them are. Thirty-two of the 137 compounds discovered are associated with the development of cancer. 133 are connected to issues with development and reproduction. 110 are harmful to the nerve system and brain.
This shouldn't be a major issue for the typical person who wears commercial fragrances once or twice a week, but for those who wear them every day, it's important to keep in mind that 60 percent of the perfume you wear will enter your bloodstream. Because the perfume is mostly composed of synthetic materials with very little natural aroma, you are ingesting and carrying about a lot of artificial goods.
