In his sermon, "Maintaining the Fire of God in Your Life," Apostle Gregory Kelley emphasized the importance of seeking a personal relationship with Jesus rather than just gathering information about Him. Using Acts 28:2-10 (CEV) as a foundation, he highlighted how Paul and others received unusual kindness, yet Paul didn’t let circumstances—like the rain—diminish his fire. Likewise, believers must exercise their faith, not just talk about it, to stay spiritually ignited.
To remain on fire for God, Apostle Kelley outlined three key principles. First, overcome excuses—just as Paul built a fire despite the rain, we must push past obstacles that try to extinguish our passion. Second, understand that excuses will always work against spiritual fire, keeping us stagnant. Finally, those who are truly on fire for God eliminate excuses and move in faith, regardless of circumstances. He challenged listeners to assess their own spiritual flames and commit to keeping them burning through unwavering faith and action.
