À propos de cet audio
The "buy local" trend started several years ago. And many people are choosing to only make purchases from local food producers and small business owners.
People like to know who is growing their food and how it is being processed or produced. Others, like myself, have committed to growing a vegetable garden and keeping a small flock of chickens. I often get asked what it's like to own and raise backyard chickens.
During one of my food podcasts, I shared with the audience some of the many adventures of getting started with raising chickens in the city. This book is a short transcript of much of that podcast, along with a few additional insights.
I hope that this information will save you time and help you decide if raising backyard chickens for food or business is for you.
Partial proceeds of all book sales are donated to dementia and Alzheimer's disease research in honor of my mother who taught me about life and love through sharing her gift of baking.
