Being parentless throughout childhood left Schwartzen with negative guidance and an early identity crisis. A car accident at eight years old changed the trajectory of his life as he was placed in a Staten Island, NY, foster home.
Surrounded by gang violence, he drifted into the street life as means to survive. A life-changing moment occurred as he ran away to live in the streets and was arrested.
