À propos de cet audio
Do you love to bake? Are you the go-to person for a family birthday cake or special occasion cake? Why not take that love of baking and make some money?
The most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life was to abandon my career and jump into the bakery business. I’m thankful every single day that I had the support and love of my family and was able to make these decisions.
So, do you want to start your own bakery?
This is a huge step. Even just sitting down to listen to this book is a monumental step toward completely changing your life. After all, that’s the goal, right? When we start a new job, a business venture, or any other major happening, we are trying to change our life.
I’m here to help!
I’m Michelle McManus, and I’ve had my own bakery business for more than 15 years. I started baking much earlier than that, though, just out of my own kitchen. I had (and still have!) a passion and love for baking, experimentation, and creating something beautiful and delicious. I’m guessing we have that in common if you’re reading this now.
I was baking out of my kitchen for myself when my obsession with new recipes far outweighed my ability to actually consume them. I started bringing my cookies, cakes, and cupcakes into work, where I was working in middle management in an unfulfilling job. People loved them.
I’ll never forget my first real order.
A coworker had a daughter getting married on a budget, and she wanted some cupcakes and cookies instead of a wedding cake. Of course, I said yes. I hadn’t ever baked for an event before, unless you counted the annual company-wide meetings, but I stayed up two days straight to get everything done on time.
The wedding was a total disaster, but someone from that wedding contacted me the next week for their son’s eighth birthday party.
Thus, my home-baking business was born.
