Such a moving story!
I was moved to tears numerous times while listening to this story. The way the author detailed the surroundings and emotions, I felt transported to Italy to witness the raw emotions of the war.

Great story line!
Started off rather slow but soon I was captivated by the story.

I Loved this book. I couldn’t stop listening to it. War is such a tragedy and we must never forget all those who were effected by WWII. Will Damron did a good job at the narration.

Wow! What a story. And sad that it is a true one.
Half the time I forgot I was listening to a book. I felt like I was part of it and was emotionally affected to the point that it made me so sad I would have to stop listening. It was riveting! Will Damron's narration was so good I began looking for other books that he had narrated. He brought all the characters to life as if they were right in front of you. Very good story and very well delivered! Absolutely loved it! Was one of the best books I have ever downloaded from Audible. I highly recommend it!

Engaging to the end

Great book!
Very interesting story based on the real people and events during the Second World War in Italy.
