À propos de cet audio
The vaunted power of the Mage’s College. Unbounded freedom among the Wolfmen. The best of both worlds.
Recent college grad Sam King was hoping for a backpacking trip across Europe as a graduation present. Instead, he’s going to get a different kind of trip: a three-month stint in the ultimate immersive gaming experience. As a lifelong geek, gamer, and outsider, it’s a better gift then he’d ever dreamed.
But when he jumps feetfirst into the world of Eternium, run by CAL (the Certified Altruistic Lexicon), it’s not exactly what he expected. All he wants is to quest, game, grind some levels, and get his hands on awesome loot. You know, have fun! But the Mage’s College seems to have a very different definition of fun - one involving study, blisteringly strict regulations, aristocratic hierarchy, and tons of pay to play.
Sam crosses the college and finds himself running for his life with a back-talking book that is far more than it seems and a class that no one has even heard of. If he can navigate the deadly college politics and the looming war with the barbaric Wolfmen, he might just find the fun and adventure he was looking for.

After his town is put to the sword and the children are taken to replace the fallen, an old man is out for revenge. He’s ready to fail at the most difficult challenge in the world: cultivation. Too corrupted to even take the first steps, the sly old elder simply agreed with those who told him that it was impossible. Then he quietly ignored them, rubbed his hands together, and started anyway.

Histoire
Conquering dungeons and using them to grow has long been the most efficient way to become a powerful adventurer. The only thing keeping the process from being easy is the Beasts that inhabit these places. Questions plague those entering this particular place of power: Where do the ‘rewards’ of weapons, armor, and heavy gold coins come from? Why is a fluffy bunny charging at me? For abyss-sake, why are there so many monsters? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Core, a soul forced against his will into a magical stone.

Eli "Nacho" Naches is a fearsome assassin who has lost everything in a post-apocalyptic world full of monstrous creatures. He knows where he fits in this horror show, and he’s only been hanging around to see what’s going to be thrown at him next. When he’s finally put in chains and sent to the chopping block, he goes readily...only to be unexpectedly sent back in time to his younger body with his memories intact and the chance to make a difference.

What happens when the haggling is done and the shops are closed? When the quest has been given, the steeds saddled, and the adventurers are off to their next encounter? They keep the world running, the food cooked, and the horses shoed, yet what adventurer has ever spared a thought or concern for the Non-Player Characters? In the town of Maplebark, four such NPCs settle in for a night of actively ignoring the adventurers drinking in the tavern when things go quickly and fatally awry.

Overall good
First of all, part of the story skipped near the end but I don't think I missed anything important. The story is great but if you read the other books it starts off a bit ugh once he gets in game. Also there is a feeling of no one would put up with this and they would leave why is he still going that makes a portion of the book feel ugh. If you liked the other books you will continue to love this one.

A great tie-in
Both the story and narration are great. You need to have read the completionist chronicles to get some of the jokes but their appearance adds a layer of depth to both stories that makes them better in every way.

Amazing, so different! So much is the same!
Another amazing adventure! great job to the writers and to Nick. The way this book mixes new experiences in Eternium with so many connections and similarity made me have to go back and re-listen to the other books.

Another Solid Entry For Fans of the Series
An enjoyable entry in a well built world. It is exciting to see the collaboration between the two authors as a means of accelerating the population of Eternium. I would not recommend newcomers to the series begin here, directing them instead to at least finish the Ritualist and Regicide first. This entry is certainly viable as a stand alone, but there will be some nested references that encourage the reader to follow the publishing order.

Another Fun Entry
Bibiliomancer is a another great entry in the Divine Dungeon/Compeltionist Chronicles universe. Sam is a bit similar but VERY different from Joe. He's not as mature as Joe, (just out of college guy), but he's quite driven and knows what he wants in the world.
My one gripe with the story is that as a book lover I would never want to be a Bibliomancer, but that's small potatoes.
I hope they continue this series. I'm curious to see how Sam and The Wolfpack react to the events we've seen in the main series.
keep up the great work.

good plotline, with bad characters
what can I say... the plot is interesting even if the characters are overdone andd purely conceived.
characters are completely unrealistic in how they act and are portrayed.
everyone had some kind of accent with no discernable culture in the game.
In short, this was "not fun".
