À propos de cet audio

Mankind is no longer the dominant species.

When Harrison Kent suggests an outing to a remote campsite in Colorado, his friends are all eager for a few days of fun and adventure. What awaits them, though, is far more than they ever bargained for.

They learn that Sasquatch is real, but these are not the shy creatures of legend. A madness has claimed them, erasing their once peaceful nature and leaving in its wake a rampaging horde of monsters that's about to descend upon the unsuspecting residents of a remote town.

But the woods hold more than one secret. The cast of a low-budget reality show is filming in the area, and they have information that could even the odds. Harrison and his friends will need to team up with them for one desperate last stand, otherwise humanity could find itself back at the bottom of the food chain.

Let's face it: this R. Gualtieri story is straight-up silly. A group of variably-likable Hollywood cookie-cutter college kids - assisted by a team of TV Monster-Hunters - are attacked by a group of infection-maddened murderous Sasquatches. The creatures then attack an entire remote mountain town to gory effect. If you can set aside logic, the story is fun, I suppose, but the plot is sophomoric, the characters are incredibly stereotypical, and the story is written with screenplay conventions in mind (aimed unerringly at a teen-scream audience raised on slasher flicks).

My unfavorable impression of the book is doubtless worsened by subpar narration from Stephen Dexter. His voice-acting is actually emotive & pretty impressive.. but his whispery baritone narrative delivery is toneless and disinterested: Mr. Dexter is quite obviously reading a text sitting open on his lap.

Altogether, I rate 'Bigfoot Hunters' 4 stars out of 10. I don't feel horrible having listened to the book after downloading it for free - even though my IQ probably dropped a few points as it seeped into my brain - but paying a Credit for it would be an unforgivable waste of money. Keep browsing.

[Note: "I ain't hear'd nothin' 'cep'n your clucking, woman" is an extremely odd expression coming from - presumably - a retired Boeing Software Engineer or something. This is *Colorado*]
