Honorable Mention in the 2019 Rainbow Book Awards!

Conquer. Own. Sacrifice everything.

Gaius Fabius knows a healthy son will secure his claim to the throne of Rome, but his devotion to his illegal Dacian pleasure slave, Allerix, could destroy his dreams of supreme power. Determined to solve the mysterious murder of a dear friend, Gaius searches for clues hidden deep in the palace that threaten his future and his family.

But while he and Allerix share passions in and out of the bedchamber, another assassination sends Gaius and his captured prince back to the vanquished kingdom of Dacia. In order to protect his beloved concubine, can Gaius find the courage to sacrifice his own heart?

Lose. Submit. Betray everyone.

Allerix knows vengeance for the vicious destruction of his homeland is within tantalizing reach, but only if he can convince his Roman master to trust him. When an unexpected ally interrupts his plans, Alle sets aside his lust for revenge to embrace the ecstasy of Gaius’ unbridled devotion.

But a surprise reunion with a childhood friend and an unforeseen return trip to Dacia remind Allerix of all he has lost while revealing the honor and glory that remain to be won. To earn the respect of his surviving kinsmen, can Alle betray the only man he has ever loved?

Dominus is a plot-packed m/m historical fantasy set in ancient Rome during the reign of Trajan (AD 98-117). Blood Before Wine is the third book in this four-book alternative history saga - a tumultuous adventure of forbidden love, humor, friendship, political intrigue, deception, and murder.

Bloody Marvelous! Encore!

Narrators Hannibal Hills and Nick J. Russo delivered one bloody awesome third installment of the Dominus historical saga by JP Kenwood. This was by far the best audiobook in the series! Absolutely the best M/M historical fantasy, and should not be missed. Hannibals’ entertaining delivery with might and main was medicinal and surely restorative. Especially, after I barely survived the long-winded frustratingly unsatisfying second audiobook Games of Rome and oh boy, was I peckish and murderous. But, fear no more, this audiobook makes up for it in spades. Enough for two doggy bags!

I listened at 1.5 speed. I found the delivery uplifting and humoristic. I had more than a few spontaneous booming explosive bouts of laughter.

This had the feel of an epic fantasy. A stunning well developed setting with magic, extraordinary drama and tension, war, conquests, bloody viciousness and of course hot sex! The cast of characters the author created is now well-loved and/or well hated. We get to choose sides and are able to taste victory. Triumphus Victoria!!!

And then Nick J Russo comes in the year 2007 and pisses on my fire with “It seems we have found your dagger Gaius, whoever the hell you were?” Ripping me backwards into the present time and common sense. Forcing me to face the depressing reality of the fact that this story happened 2000 years ago and Gaius is dead, and no matter what happened, he will still be dead, like a doorknob, unless we move over to paranormal fiction, which I won’t mind either. *rubbing hands together, while thinking about vampires*

Congratulations to the author who managed to pull all those strings so expertly, creating what I baptize as the best M/M Historical fiction of the year!

Yes, I do recommend this series
