Cody Lankin returns home to Golden California, after his marriage and highly successful architect/builder business are both in ruins. He was betrayed by his wife and his business partner and has sworn to have nothing to do with either henceforth.
He reunites with Alison Gayle, a high school acquaintance, a loner then and now a powerhouse. He is frustrated that she is an attorney and a woman.
