Thought provoking
Having read born to run, i had bought into countless stories. This book brings back reminders that running conventional wisdom still applies, and that it is so because years of scientific research have found consistent results.

It’s not black and white
The author takes a critical look at the arguments and themes in Born to Run and separates the value claims from the scientific (lack of) evidence. In other words, we can disagree with the western approach to commoditizing everything (as Christopher McDougall does) and still believe that running shoes play an important role in keeping us injury-free. He critiques some of McDougall’s claims and methods in a really insightful way and finishes the book with 10 pieces of advice to stay running injury-free. I recommend.
