I'm hopeful now.
This book has made me feel hope during a time that feels helpless.
I come from a background in psychology and the science for me has been the most important aspect in terms of weight, motivation, food and eating. Many books do not cite their sources, or talk about the psychological impact of food addiction. Thompson comprehensively helps you clear the space from your mind that would otherwise be occupied with food, so that you can become the best version of yourself. She supports this evidence by referencing important studies and she accessibly breaks down the science.
Although I am somewhat new to this lifestyle, I can already feel my mind and my body become lighter and happier. If you are anyone like me, who has struggled with a myriad of addictions - including food - then consider reading this book. It may help you from the hole that you have dug for yourself; please grab on to Susan's ladder.
