it was supposed to be read by travis, but instead someone with a slight brockyln/boston account read it. that killed it for me.

It’s a great biography, I really enjoyed it. However the listening experience was awful, it’s nearly impossible to follow who is talking and when and a lot of the time you’re guessing. The narration doesn’t make it clear when it switches back to Travis. You hear from a LOT of people throughout the book and it’s hard to know who you’re hearing in audio format.

Only complaint is that it wasn’t read by Travis ; that would have been amazing. It just doesn’t land right with this narrator.

Better if Travis narrated it!

while I enjoyed the book, like many others, I found it to be a difficult listen. The narrator is fine, his voice is nice etc... but the style set to the narration was hard to follow. there are different people telling the story as the book goes on, but the voice stays the same. sometimes, the narrator tries to change his voice along the way when speaking as a woman, but it's still hard to follow. Also, the audio acoustics at times changes, almost like they went in and did a voice over for a line or two everyone in a while and it just soubds different like a slight echo or something.

Still worth a listen for the story. You just really have to pay attention.

I really liked the book overall but I was not a fan of the narrator. Eventually you get used to it. Definitely worth listening to, Travis Barker is such a likable guy.

Sometimes it was hard to decipher between the character changes but otherwise really interesting, and wasn’t bored.

Very interesting, positive outlook on life lessons in overcoming the ups and downs of life.

It was a good book but it was a bad narrator choice. Felt it wasn't suited for the style of book and for the subject. A different narrator would have made this book a much better listen!

Narrator does not flow well with the story at all. Big let down that Travis did not narrate the book himself. Would have been awesome.

I would have preferred a different narrator. Everything was clear and concise but I would have liked to hear the story from someone who was involved with the music industry or knew Travis personally.
