À propos de cet audio

My dad and I have been estranged for years, but as his only living relative, it's no surprise I inherit his massive cattle ranch when he dies.

Something that is a surprise? The stipulation in his will that requires me to live on the ranch and actively manage it for a year before I can access my inheritance money.

I haven't stepped foot in Hartsville, Texas, population one thousand, since my parents split when I was six. Now a city girl through and through, I never imagined having to move back to cowboy country. But I need the money to invest in my company, and a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

There's just one giant roadblock to my plan: the ranch's foreman, grumpy cowboy Cash Rivers. I don't care how good he looks in his Wranglers and chaps. He's rude, he's growly, and he wants me gone. I'd fire him in a heartbeat, but I need this cowboy to teach me the ropes of running a ranch.

We're enemies from the get-go. But it turns out Cash is really good at this ranch thing. He's got strong hands, an intelligent mind, and let's just say everything really is bigger in Texas. Working alongside him leads to conversations beneath the stars. Throw in some cheek-to-cheek dancing at the local dive bar, and it all feels so right that I start to fall in love with life on the ranch. And maybe with him, too.

But my stay in Hartsville is only temporary. And you know what they say about cowboys: they may break horses, but they also break hearts. If only Cash hadn't already lassoed mine…

Butting heads leads to knocking boots in this wildly sexy enemies-to-lovers, grumpy/sunshine, small-town cowboy romance by Jessica Peterson. Cash is the first standalone book in the steamy interconnected Lucky River Ranch series.

I once read that grief is love with nowhere to go. Suiting for this story, Cash and Mollie’s grief is theirs alone until the will of her father forces them together and gives their grief direction. City girl meets Cowboy, Mollie inherits her father’s ranch, and Cash has been working and helped run the ranch for years. Because Mollie had no relationship with her father, this is the first they’ve met and don’t have kind thoughts toward each other. As part of the inheritance she’s required to stay at the ranch, much to both Mollie and Cash’s displeasure.

Cash and Mollie definitely don’t start off as friends but they slowly grow on each other. Learning more about themselves and each other sparks attraction between them that’s so sweet to read, and once the spice hits, it hits so good! Cash is so protective and fiercely loyal - his actions show it. And as much as he tries to fight it he falls for Mollie and protects her (and her business) too. The banter and tension really made this book fun to read.

I really enjoyed the audio for this, the narrators fit the characters well and the story flow was excellent.

Looking forward to reading more of this family in book two, Wyatt!

Cowboy x City Girl Romance

I really enjoyed this first in the Lucky River Ranch series set in Hartsville Texas!! I listened to it on audio and couldn't get enough of the city girl x grumpy cowboy, forced proximity, fish out of water story that brings Mollie to the ranch when her estranged father dies and leaves it to her in his will with the stipulation she stay there for a year.

Forced to spend time with foreman, and eldest brother of five, Cash, the two find their bickering leading to fantastic chemistry in the sheets. But can Mollie make a life on the ranch or will her ties and company in Dallas tear her away from the chance at love with Cash? This was emotional, spicy and had great classic country music, found family vibes. I can’t wait to start Wyatt’s book next!!

Stephen Dexter and Lila Winters do a superb job narrating the MCs and I could have listened to them all day long!!

I rSpicy cowboy romance for all the Lyla Sage fans

Such a fun book. From hate to love and lots of sweetness that grows! Fun spice too. The MMC is everything you want in a standup man, reliable, family oriented, sweet as all get out to the FMC and hot haha The FMC really grows through the story and comes into her own. All around sweet love story. Read in duel the narrators do a great job conveying feeling and the little Texas twang was pretty nice too!

The perfect cowboy. Sweet and spicy!

Liked that this read more mature without the petty, miscommunication. They actually acted like mature adults.

I am absolutely obsessed with this book! Cash is the definition of perfection and has claimed the top spot as my number one book boyfriend. This is no small feat, considering he outshines some heavy-hitters like Hawke (Jessie Hall), Kingfisher (Callie Hart), and Rhysand (SJM). A slow clap for you, Cash—your dirty mouth and irresistible cowboy charm turned up the heat in all the right ways.

Genuinely loved this one!! I heard rumours Cash was written with Riley Green as the muse. And it was so easy to visualize it!! No second act break up, which I hate. Swoonworthy Cowboy with a filthy mouth. 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

I want you in the Worst Way!!
