À propos de cet audio
I can't even imagine what I'd do with a man like him. He wants no part of a girl like me. So how come he can't stay away, and I can't stop thinking what if?
Kayla: Life isn't easy. Single mom, minimum wage, family drama. You know the story. I've come a long way in a short time, though, and it's all worth it. For Jimmy. My grumpy little guy.
Then a hot biker charms his way into our lives, tempting me into wanting more. I want to go for it, but how can I trust myself when I've screwed up so badly in the past?
Charge: I'm an easy kind of guy in a rough world. Yeah, I got a record, but I also got my club, my ride, and the open road. Life is good.
I don't need no hassle, and from recent experience, "woman" is the very definition. I sure don't need to be messin' with a girl young enough to get carded, cartin' along a six-year-old.
So why is she livin' all up in my head? And how am I gonna stop my past from screwin' up this good thing?
Contains mature themes.

wonderful performance of a great book
love this book. I hate MotorcycleClub books, I hate kids in romances. Love This Book.
First: only read this because of Run Posy, Run... which also features things I hate (mafia, psychopath main) but still loved, so I cannot wait until Wells delves into romancelandia things that do turn my crank.
Second: Both protagonists feel very real, even if the situation doesn't (dislike of MC tears it's head). She is vulnerable, damaged, and so, so, young (while being mature beyond her years because of circumstances). He is also vulnerable and damaged.
They don't heal each other or anything like that, but wanting to be with each other makes them figure shit out... and I am so there for that.
Performances: Both are great. Jillian really nails both the strength and vulnerability for Kayla. Even when you want to strangle her for being weak with her parents, the combo of the words and pathos, makes you understand why it's so frikking hard for her (don't know if there's a language filter for reviews).
Tor has a sexy, sexy voice. To the point that I wish more of the sex scenes were from the male POV. Which is really not my thing. But his narration is earthy, and I dig it.
I've listened to the next audiobook in the series, and while tones of voice aren't really different, you can still tell the difference - I attribute that to the writer's voice and performance, so kudos to both.
