À propos de cet audio

Ray Lilly is living on borrowed time. He's the driver for Annalise Powliss, a high-ranking member of the Twenty Palace Society, a group of sorcerers devoted to hunting down and executing rogue magicians. But because Ray betrayed her once, Annalise is looking for an excuse to kill him - or let someone else do the job.

Unfortunately for both of them, Annalise's next mission goes wrong, leaving her critically injured. With the little magic he controls, Ray must complete her assignment alone. Not only does he have to stop a sorcerer who's sacrificing dozens of innocent lives in exchange for supernatural power, he must find - and destroy - the source of that inhuman magic.

I am really enjoying this series. The main character, Ray is funny, full of initiative and always able to come out of difficult situations. Good secondary characters to liven up the plot. Very well performed/narrated by Daniel Thomas May, one of my favourite voice actors. He flawlessly brings the story to life. Harry Connolly is an excellent writer and I am looking forward to more books in this series.

AWESOME SERIES

Good story. I liked that the monster and the magic system as a while has a sort of cosmic horror to it all. Justifies how cold the characters have to be in the execution of their duties. Narrator was good. One female character is supposed to have a high pitched voice but I wish he had toned that down just a bit.
