À propos de cet audio

Agent Bradly "Wolfe" Tucker has one case he cannot solve: six murdered women and a cold trail leading nowhere. When bodies with an eerily similar MO show up in Philadelphia, he volunteers to assist with the case. He figures he will spend a few days in Philly, hand the case off, and head back to his life in Seattle. But everything changes when he stops at a local bar, looks across the room, and sees her.

Agent Leda Bailey has had a bad week. She has three dead women and no trail to follow. The clues don't add up, and nothing makes sense. So, she heads to her favorite bar to forget about the case for a few hours. When he offers to buy her a drink, she thinks this just might be the distraction she needs. The encounter turns into a weekend. Leda thinks this might be something so much more, but can she really let down her guard enough to let him in? He wasn't supposed to fall for her. He wasn't supposed to stay. But he loses himself every time he looks into her dark eyes.

He was Wolfe to his former SEAL team, Agent Tucker to FBI colleagues, and Tuc to close friends. But he wants to be someone else for her. Will she let him into her carefully guarded world? Or will she run when she realizes how damaged he really is? Friends tease him about his protector complex. They might be right. Because he would do anything to keep Leda safe. Even give her his heart.

Leda Bailey accepted long ago that no one will see beyond her disability. When she meets Tuc, Leda realizes she wants more than just a one-night stand. But how does she let him behind the walls that keep her safe? Will she lose herself if she lets him in? Or is opening her heart to Tuc the key to finally being truly safe?

The Omega Series is intended for mature audiences over the age of 18. Parental guidance and caution are suggested due to possible triggering situations, including but not limited to strong language, alcohol consumption, violence, sexual situations, and depictions of trauma.

📚E-BOOK📚 & 🎧AUDIO🎧

This is my first book by J. R. Tootill, and what a discovery it was! Honestly, she deserves way more hype because this story had everything I love in a romantic suspense. The character building was on point, the plot had real depth, and the representation of PTSD and disability was beautifully done—layered, respectful, and real.
The audiobook made the whole experience even better. It’s a full duet style for all the characters, and you really can’t go wrong with narrators like Maxine Mitchell, Sebastian York, and Joe Arden. The emotions they conveyed were raw and powerful—I felt every single one. This production absolutely deserves more likes and reviews.
I actually stumbled upon this series after seeing a TikTok about the last audiobook, and since I have a little TOC when it comes to reading order, I had to start with book one. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. From the very beginning, this contemporary romantic suspense pulled me in. The writing is complex in the best way, the pacing sharp, and the blend of romance and danger completely addictive. If you like trying to piece together clues and following a serial killer storyline while also getting swept into a romance, you’ll love this one.
📖 Synopsis
Agent Bradly “Wolfe” Tucker has one case he can’t solve—six murdered women and a trail gone cold. When bodies with the same MO surface in Philadelphia, he heads there to lend a hand. He thinks he’ll just pass the case off… until he meets Agent Leda Bailey.
Leda’s week has been nothing but dead ends and frustration. A night at her favorite bar was supposed to be a distraction, but Wolfe changes everything. Their connection turns into a weekend, but could it be more? With Wolfe’s scars from his SEAL past and Leda’s guarded walls from living with a disability, both have their reasons to hold back. Yet the pull between them is undeniable. Wolfe is determined to protect her—even if it means giving her his heart.

✨ Final Thoughts:
This book was suspenseful, emotional, and genuinely captivating. The chemistry between Wolfe and Leda was subtle but real, the representation added depth, and the suspense kept me hooked. I can’t wait to continue the series and see where it goes next.

Tucker and Leda could not be more perfect for eachother. This book had the perfect balance of romance and suspense. Leda is one tough cookie and Tucker could not be more attracted to that level of confidence. Both are plagued by their traumatic pasts so when they are forced to work together their softer sides are bound to clash. Who else better to help with that than eachother? I loved the sense of found family and emotion that this book provided.

First of the series!
