À propos de cet audio
An inside look into the story of why we all traded in pots for pods!
Reminiscent of God in a Cup and The Devil's Cup, this is an inside look into the modern business of making coffee. But rather than a general history, Coffee for One focuses on the revolution that made single serve the most popular way to consume coffee worldwide, and the competition and conflict that got us here.
This story features A-list names, corporate intrigue, environmental destruction, and much, much more. For the vast majority of the time humans have consumed coffee, the drink has been brewed in pots or other multi-serving tools; that is, until the last two decades, which saw the rise of the single serve coffee machine. Whether it's a Keurig or a Nespresso, today most people get their coffee from little plastic individual serving pods. But why? Coffee for One breaks open this story of innovation, profit, and cultural change.

Coffee!!!!
So if you want a history lesson about coffee and some entertaining facts, This is the book for you. I myself am a coffee drinker and have gone on a tour of the Canterbury coffee facilities in Vancouver. The plant was impressive and after the tour I enjoyed an “cupping” (taste testing) which only increased my interest in the coffee business. This book does focus on the single serve coffee users of today but provides an excellent recap of the history of coffee its sourcing and production to the end consumer.

Decent and quick
Nothing mind blowing in here. Good little history on coffee, mostly talks about the single serve revolution and the companies attached.
Though it tends to go over the same point repeatedly throughout.
