Worst Narrator

I love Emma Lathen & this is one book I haven't got and can't get any where else, The narrator is the WORST EVER -- he pauses a lot as if he can't make out the next word and has trouble pronouncing some words. A really dreadful reader. The background noises are distracting. It's hard to follow the plot when the reading is this awful which is too bad because what I could make out of it, the plot is fascinating and so compelling I'll keep searching for another source of the book.
