À propos de cet audio
Staying silent has tremendous consequences.
J.D. Watson realized he had to speak up after witnessing President Obama’s first term, the 2012 Republican primary, and how that election unfolded. He was shocked to see how out of touch elected officials in this country had become.
He began polling people about their opinions on current issues and realized that the majority of Americans, regardless of party affiliation, are quite moderate.
The overwhelming majority want:
- Term limits for Congress and the Supreme Court
- A balanced budget
- The ability to retire comfortably one day
- Affordable, quality healthcare
- Safety and security in their communities
But the voices and concerns of moderate Americans aren’t being heard at the legislative, judicial, or executive levels. Tribalism by the media and our federal government often keeps moderate Americans at odds with each other, instead of uniting to pressure our elected officials to act in our best collective interests.
It’s time for a return to Common Sense America. This book will challenge your knowledge of public policy, encourage you to examine how and why you vote, and bring us together with a shared voice to take action against those who have failed our country for far too long.
