What makes a good visit? I remember visits to my grandparents' that held the reunion and chaotic merriment of cousins! I remember visits from gospel meeting preachers to our home with hours of preacher talk around my mother's table and the feeling of being safe in an atmosphere permeated with scripture. I remember visits to my best friend Carole's house, where I was fully embraced and made to feel that I was something special. I remember my first visit to the home of my parents-in-law and the most tangible sweetness that swirls around the many firsts on the journey of a new life together.
