Newt has been to hell and back with his friends.

Leaving only a note, Newt departs the Berg before the Gladers return from their mission into Denver, Colorado. From there, he experiences the gritty nightmare of life on the streets, running from the infected and those hunting them, until he ends up in the Crank Palace, the last dumping ground of those without hope. Although Newt thought he was running away from his friends to save them from himself, along the way he meets a young mother named Keisha and her son, Dante, who end up saving Newt in a way he could never have imagined.
Taking place during the latter events of The Death Cure, Crank Palace tells the story of Newt like never before, from inside his own mind, as he searches for meaning in a life gone horribly wrong. He will try to fulfill a newfound destiny before his path leads to its inevitable conclusion - and one last meeting with his best friend.

Better closure on Newt’s ending
I enjoyed this book, and the narrator was excellent! The overall story was good, but I felt that it could have been longer and more detailed. The ending felt rushed, and I still have questions. However I am happy that I was able to get some more closure to Newt’s story. It was very bittersweet.

Phenomenal and Heartbreaking
It’s one of the most devastating things I have ever read, and I am so glad that it exists! Newt was such a good person, and he deserved so much better. But I am glad that at least he had what he had.
An incredible listen, and a great narrator as always!

Perfect piece of my favourite character!
Newt was my favourite character in the series, we needed this detailed puzzle piece! I love these books so much!

Conclusion for Newt
This was a good ending regarding Newt, however, I’m not sure it was needed. Still wishing Newt had a different ending.
