It's been three long years since Deadbreak. That's what everyone's calling it - the day the dead rose. Every day since then, Jeremiah Reid has had one goal: to make his way back to his daughter. With his four-legged companion, Joe, Jeremiah has to travel a lawless wasteland teeming with zombies, bandits, and worse, like people who put anchovies on pizza (you know who you are).
It's a new world out there, and no one is safe. People are weary, cities are in ruin, supplies are scarce, and brains are on the menu. If he's going to have a chance, he'll need his wits, a little bit of luck, and lots of ammo.

action packed and hilarious
if you like zombies, and dad jokes. this book is for you. the only complaint I have is that there isn't a second one yet.

A Great Relief from the Tedium of the Genera
Sanchez gives us a breath of fresh air from all the alpha operator post-apocalyptic hullabaloo. With a protagonist who’s greatest flaw isn’t that he’s just way too good of a guy who is cursed to be the most competent human to ever live and can never feel the sweet experience of making a mistake. Honestly the best zombie novel I’ve had the pleasure of listening to.

The story was phenomenal, had me hooked!
I was hooked from the first chapter, couldnt stop listening, really hoping this writer makes another/sequel book!

Sarcastic and whitty
I absolutely loved listening to this audiobook. I couldn't get enough of the main character. His whitand sarcasm made it so funny and enjoyable. the narrator really brought Jeremiah to life. I would recommend it to anyone. I just wish there was more.

Thoroughly Enjoyable
I REALLY like this one! Story was great, typical post-apocalyptic walking dead kinda stuff. But what I really like was the main characters overall attitude. A badass, but also outrageously sarcastic and hilarious. Reminded me a lot of Jake Peralta from Brooklyn 99 haha. Great book, highly recommend 👍🏻

I really appreciated the humour. The characters, all were well done. I was a bit worried I may have to find a next book, but this author gave us an ending.

This was absolutely amazing
I’ll be honest my last few choices weren’t that great so my bar was pretty low at this point (it’s tough to find something after the bobiverse) but this was excellent. I finished it in just a few days. It’s a great story with several chuckle and laugh out loud moments with enough darkness for end of days thrown in. The narrator was absolutely spot on and read it perfectly and made you root for the main character. In an over saturated market this one was just fun and enjoyable and definitely worth the listen. I highly recommend

Listened to the whole book in a single sitting!
Oh man. What a novel. If you are a fan of this genre, you’re going to fall in love with the characters and story. My only disappointment is that the author hasn’t continued with the series (yet). But I’m blown away by how good this book is, and wish I could listen to it all over again for the first time.
I won’t spoil anything in the review, but all I can say is that it is the best in this genre.
