Will avoid books with “ambient” sounds in the future. Not pleasurable listening for me. I usually enjoy the Hamish Macbeth series, but I’m struggling to get past the noisy background on this one.

I love this series but could barely listen because I hated having music on the background. distracting and sometimes even loudet than narrator. I did not enjoy those nook st all.

The music wasn’t enhancing the storyline It was strange and interfered with listening to the dialogue. I found it so irritating that I stopped listening, and opted to purchase the regular version of the book. So I bought the same story twice . Whoever chose what music to use needs to reevaluate its purpose and select something appropriate.
