Nice fun read with adventure and love.
This was a great escape from the real world of struggle and divisiveness. The male reader was at times hard to listen to because he had such a cynical tone but overall a good listen

Shep & Thea - a sweet love story
I never go wrong with a Catherine Cowles book. I love her small towns!
Sparrow Falls with it's cast of characters and close nit community - I just fall in love.
This book was beautiful. Thea and Shep are both dealing with a past that has them skittish and hard to let anyone in. Slowly they begin a journey of friendship and in doing so find the support and strength that they each need to fall in love and more importantly to trust and heal. Their spice is definitely spicy and that Shep is a sweetheart, waiting to let Thea call the shots when she's ready.
These two as a couple are adorable and the supporting family and friends are always a fun addition. I love the sibling chat of course but just the banter between them is so frikkin adorable.
I'm not gonna lie Lolly is such a character and I love her to death - where can I get one.
Like any Catherine Cowles book, we have a suspense aspect which always keeps you on your toes and adds a little bit extra to the story.
I loved listening to the audio of this one and Teddy Hamilton and Erin Mallon work together so well bringing Shepherd and Thea to life. Their voices held all the emotion, fear, tenderness and love that these characters bring to this story.
This series just keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to visit again.

Sparrow Falls!
I love romantic suspense and Catherine Cowles is the queen of romantic suspense. I can NEVER guess the bad guy, even though I try every time haha. The slow burn was amazing! Lolli will forever be one of my favorite characters in the series. Cannot wait for the next book.

Own unique twist
Unfortunately I found it hard to stay present and absorb because of both narrators. As a result, I rewound the player several times. It felt like I was listening to background noise rather than an intriguing story being told. Every sentence was rushed, and sadly I didn’t get the chance to enjoy Thea and Shep as I wanted and was intended to. They were flat with hardly any sense of personality. For the most part, there was no differentiation between characters as they all sounded the same… even the kids sounding like teenagers and sometimes adults. Some people sounded like they were sick with a sore throat.
That said, despite Delicate Escape having a similar premise to Sutter Lake books #2 + #4, it had its own unique twist.
