The leap into this virtual atmosphere is an anomaly, where the performance folktale can be performed both on stage, in the classroom, or virtually with the use of puppets and props. In a postmodern world where aspects of our culture are internet-driven, it is critical that cultural ambassadors find innovative ways to keep oral storytelling alive, and challenge the dominant discourse of social media in the 21st century.
