Ce que les critiques en disent

"The transformation of Menolly from a terrified outcast to a woman secure within herself is skillfully handled, making her a sympathetic character with whom many readers will identify." ( School Library Journal)
"A superbly crafted fantasy in the heroic tradition....Unlike many sequels, this maintains the dramatic tensions of its predecessor." ( Horn Book)
"Although set in another world, where dragons fly and people have fire lizards as pets, Menolly's innermost concerns are wholly contemporary." ( Booklist)

One of my favourite books of all time

Dragonsinger is a classic coming of age masterpiece, where Menolly, one of my favourite heroines of all time discovers herself and cements her place in the world of Pern. Like its predecessor in the Harper Hall trilogy, Dragonsong, Dragonsinger doesn't employ the themes most overused by far too many contemporary novels of the genre (young adult fantasy). It isn't about sexuality, forbidden romance, teenage angst, high octane action, vampires, werewolves, angels, or earthshaking magic. Instead, it's good, old-fashioned storytelling at its best. The performance is perfect. The only thing wrong with this audiobook is the description/summary, as it poorly describes the Robinton - he is Menolly's #1 superfan, and is never anything other than a superb, encouraging mentor who always has her back. He most certainly does not have an issue with her being a girl.

Great book! Description is completely wrong

Amazing book, as one would expect from the original Pern series. But don't pay any attention to Audible's description.
In this book, Menolly has just arrived at the Harper Hall (she didn't go home - that's Half Circle Sea Hold) and the Masterharper is NOT giving her a hard time, he's supporting her. Yes, Menolly is struggling, but it's because of the female students (they aren't apprentices like she is) and the jealousy of others. All you need to know is that this book describes her first week at the Harper Hall. Definitely recommended for fans of the series, but you might want to read the first book in the Harper Hall series (Dragonsong) first.
