"Ace, come on! Please? It's go time," Ellie begged her friend.

But for Ace it was definitely "No" time. He was much too busy rolling back and forth on the grass to help Ellie. Ellie had forced him to take a bath yesterday. The little dog was still grumpy. He did not plan to stop rolling until he smelled like himself again - grassy with a hint of dirt. "Smell me now!" he thought as he wriggled around.

Ellie shook her head. Ace had never ignored go time before. She had to figure this mess out. The peanut thieves would have to wait. Her friend's attitude was a much bigger mystery. She needed to solve the Ace case right away.

In her biggest case yet, girl detective Ellie will have to figure out why her dog pal Ace is snoozing instead of sniffing out clues. Can she solve the mystery of her mixed-up mutt before Ace bites off more than he can chew?
