Yes I loved this book . Katherine Kellgren is one of the best narrators. She is brilliant while giving distinctive voice to each character. Susanna Kearsley is also a favourite. First of all she is very clever and really pulls you into her stories. She combines a storyline from the past with a current story. This novel is different. it was fun reading about Toronto, Ontario and Portugal.

I really enjoyed the narrator and the story was really exciting. Loved it. I'll be looking for more books from this author.

I found the back and forth between the past and present was hard to grasp at times. There was no real break or change of voices to indicate what time period we were in and sometimes I didn’t realize for a few minutes. Probably the worst past/present book I’ve read. And the narrator went waaay over the top with excitement sometimes. It’s was weird to me. I just had a hard time from start to finish following along so finally I gave up trying to figure it out and just listened. I finally finished just to say I did. It definitely didn’t grab my attention at all. Every time I put the book on I said to myself I wish it would just be done already. It’s a matter of principal for me. I paid for it I’ll listen to the whole thing.

The story was engaging but the reader seemed to have difficulty transitioning between accents and at times added inflections verging on hysteria when the situation did not require such intensity. It was a bit of a distraction to the plot line and what was actually being said.

This book started off very slowly but story started coming together eventually. The narrators occasionally attempt at setting a scene were to say the least jarring.

Very much enjoyed the story but the narrator is just awful. Terrible accents and just starts screaming into the microphone any time something even remotely exciting happens.

The accents and overly dramatic voicing is distracting at times but overall a clever story that holds your attention and written well enough that despite the multitude of characters and changes in timelines I managed to follow the threads.
