À propos de cet audio
Ten days, eight suspects, six cities, five authors, three bodies . . . one trip to die for.
"Quick, captivating, and oh-so-much-fun! This delicious mystery is as spellbinding as Knives Out."—Elle Cosimano, New York Times bestselling author of the Finlay Donovan series
"Evans demonstrates her talent for accents and finds voices that capture the personalities of each of the characters. In addition to tense murder scenes, listeners are treated to vivid descriptions of beautiful scenery and mouth watering pizza, pasta, and gelato. Yum and fun!"—AudioFile
All that bestselling author Eleanor Dash wants is to get through her book tour in Italy and kill off her main character, Connor Smith, in the next in her Vacation Mysteries series—is that too much to ask?
Clearly, because when an attempt is made on the real Connor’s life—the handsome but infuriating con man she got mixed up with ten years ago and now can't get out of her life—Eleanor’s enlisted to help solve the case.
Contending with literary rivals, rabid fans, a stalker—and even her ex, Oliver, who turns up unexpectedly—theories are bandied about, and rivalries, rifts, and broken hearts are revealed. But who’s really trying to get away with murder?
Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies is the irresistible and hilarious series debut from Catherine Mack, introducing bestselling fictional author Eleanor Dash on her Italian book tour that turns into a real-life murder mystery, as her life starts to imitate the world in her books.

Fun, quick, a bit predictable….
But I kind of feel like that was intentional.
The Narrator guides you through the story as if they were a tour guide/game show hostess. Interesting style - entertaining. The story was uncomplicated, which is sometimes exactly what is needed. If you are looking for something light with a good mix of characters, this is a nice follow up to a heavier book.

Witty, entertaining - a must-read for this summer
"Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies" by Catherine Mack is a delightful cocktail of mystery, humor, and Italian charm. Eleanor Dash, a bestselling author with a penchant for murder—fictional, of course—finds herself entangled in a real-life whodunit that’s as twisty as her novels. With a dashing yet infuriating con man, old flames popping up like unwelcome plot twists, and a book tour that’s anything but serene, Mack crafts a narrative that’s both laugh-out-loud funny and irresistibly addictive. This debut is a masterclass in meta-mystery, blending the chaos of an author’s life with a murder mystery that will keep you guessing till the last page. Perfect for fans of clever, character-driven storytelling with a dash of romance and a hearty serving of wit.

Adventure, Laughs, and a Little Romance mystery
If you’re dreaming of a trip to Italy, this book is your perfect getaway! Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies pulls you into a fun, scenic adventure, almost like you’re on a tour through the Italian countryside—with a bit more mystery (and a dash of danger!) along the way. The author brings Italy to life with a great mix of humour and relatable moments that will have you laughing out loud. There are clever little references, like a Bridgerton nod (Season 2, Episode 4!) that will make you curious to look them up later.
The story flows easily, with a polished, mature tone that keeps you hooked. And Connor? Let’s say he’ll be on your mind for a while! Overall, this book is a fantastic pick for relaxing and letting your mind wander through Italy’s charm and mystery.
