À propos de cet audio
Have you ever wondered what the purpose of your existence is? Why was this universe created, and what is your place in it? What are the possibilities beyond your limited and material existence? Did you exist in some form before you were born in this lifetime? Will you exist in any form after your death? If you are more than this physical body, can you access your non-physical self, and if yes, what are the implications? What more can be achieved and experienced in your extremely limited lifetime? What happens when you combine the Western scientific discipline and rigor and leverage Eastern ancient wisdom of Yoga and meditation to try to tackle some of these exceedingly difficult questions?
This book is not about philosophy and religious beliefs; neither is this about cold and limited material science. The books start by building a simple hypothesis of reality, based on the ancient Indian texts and known scientific principles. And then follows a long 30-year journey to brutally evaluate the hypothesis with deep scientific rigor.
As you listen to the adventure, you are encouraged to think out of the box. Rather than trying to fit the experiences into a limited framework of physical laws, perhaps we need a new science, which uses very different methods and measures to study consciousness. Just as an electron microscope is needed to study atomic particles, perhaps studying consciousness requires leveraging consciousness, since all other instruments are too blunt!
The Eastern mystics have spent lifetimes contemplating the deeper concepts but perhaps not done enough to bring a clear picture that reflects practical wisdom to the masses. On the other hand, the West has merely touched the surface, using occasional meditation to calm the mind and Yoga as a safe option to maintain physical health. In between these two extremes, there seems to be infinite possibilities that have been missed; the goal of this book is to throw some light on those possibilities.
