À propos de cet audio
There’s a science to breaking up. Or rather, there’s a science to getting over a breakup, and you can’t spell guinea pig without Gina. In this funny, honest, and unapologetically raw literary debut, Gina Jestadt documents the spiral of despair she slid down after her first real breakup - and the experimental methods she trialed to claw her way back out. Her story speaks to - and for - the many individuals who have had their lives derailed by the sudden loss of someone they thought was their "one true love", and while dodging duds and deadbeats, she discovered that true love is self-love.
F*ck U, Next illustrates the connection between our brains and our guts and that even our worst days can be made better by what we eat. Self-love and self-care are only two steps toward a better you, and through unflinching personal anecdotes, Jestadt demonstrates how to get out of your own head and bed and onto the yoga mat. She knows all too well how heartache can alter the planned trajectory of your life, and this book provides you with the tools you can use to steer your life toward something even better. Part memoir, part self-help book, Gina Jestadt lists first the mistakes and then the positive changes she made as she clawed her way to the top of the mountain of self-empowerment to roar, “F--k you, next.”

Way to go, Gina!
I know Gina personally and was in the periphery of this actual breakup when it happened. I knew all the players but never heard Gina’s side of things as she was only an acquaintance back then. It was interesting to listen to her no-holds-barred account of heartbreak, and she tells her story with a good mix of raw emotion of and self-depracating humour. There’s even some interesting self-help tips including, on more than just getting over a breakup.
TW: the prose is a “blue” as it can get.
