Another adventure fantasy with a great story path!
I love adventure fantasy stories and this is another one but I love the different paths each story takes. I think the author took a tipical path but the story was unique enough to make it different from other stories I've read. Overall I thought the story was great and can't wait for more!

great start to a new series
The narration is impeccable tho I've yet to hear anything less from nick podehl. The book is interesting with a good mix of dark fantasy and humour. The banter between two mcs is pretty funny tho sometimes u wonder why he responds lol. The finally was a surprising twist like the mc not sure I like it but it could go in a bunch of directions. Love the characters no poorly done females like her past work Frisha from her last series always made me cringe. Great start.

Great Book, Great Narrator
Let me start by saying Nick Podehl is an incredible narrator, I actually found this book while browsing his page and boy what a book.
This book is a has some top level story telling and world building. There were moments when I would be on a walk and just have to remove my earbuds for a few minutes to process what just happened. And that ending was so good.
It's not perfection though, there were a couple points where I thought a person's action goes against their character, and one specific point where I got bored about a quarter/third of the way in, but overall it was a great listen.
Highly recommended.

Kel Kade is amazing, the narrator is amazing.
In my opinion, this book was everything. She brought this amazing and wonderful book to life. It was new and unexpected and the heroes are unbelievable in the best ways.
This book was an experience that we needed, it transcendent the mind into this realm of the unexpected.
Shout out to the narrator, he brought this to an even greater level, even though many of the female voice were the exact same, which can't be helped

The ending is superb
I really enjoy the different spin on the narrative coming from the Kings Dark Tidings. There were definitely some slow spots in the book but I have thoroughly enjoyed the gods toying with the story line as well as the mystery of Mathias.

Creative and unpredictable
The world building in this story was fantastic and original even down to everyone's unique names. I really enjoyed all of the twists and turns of the story, I had no idea what would happen next. Something interesting was always happening and none of the chapters dragged on. I only wish it was longer! This author is fantastic and I greatly look forward to the next book to see whats going to happen! Kel Kade knows how to make a fantastic main character. Just like he did in The Kings Dark Tidings series
