Scandal has rocked Kit Morris' well-ordered life and called into question everything he thought he knew about his biological family. In the wake of his father’s death, he’s traveled all the way to North Carolina to find an outlet for his simmering rage. And there’s no better outlet than odious falconer Patrick Spencer. Patrick somehow manages to press all of Kit’s buttons while being way too tempting for his own good.

Falcons aren’t the only thing he’s ready to tame....

Keeping an eye on Kit is supposed to earn Patrick a few easy bucks, and it’s more fun than expected to get under the young man’s skin. But it’s not long before Patrick sees something deeper in Kit, something that reminds him of the wild birds he cares for at his falconry center. He wants to see Kit’s wounded soul fly free again, and he knows it will take patience and hard work to get past all of Kit’s defenses.

But when Kit finds out why Patrick began hanging around him in the first place, it seems to confirm every doubt Kit has about himself, and he refuses to be a pity prize for anyone. Patrick will need to find a way to prove that he wants Kit for real or risk losing out on his chance at true love. And Kit will need to overcome his own issues if he’s ever going to open his heart to what he truly needs.
