À propos de cet audio
A thrilling new novel for fans of Sword Art Online and World of Warcraft!
In the real world, twenty-one-year-old library sciences student Tina Anderson is invisible and under-appreciated, but in the VR-game Forever Fantasy Online she's Roxxy—the respected leader and main tank of a top-tier raiding guild. Her brother, James Anderson, has a similar problem. IRL he’s a college drop-out struggling under debt, but in FFO he's famous—an explorer known all over the world for doing every quest and collecting the rarest items.
Both Tina and James need the game more than they’re willing to admit, but their escape turns into a trap when FFO becomes real. Suddenly, wounds aren’t virtual, the stupid monsters have turned cunning, and death might be forever. Separated across a much larger and more deadly world, their skill at FFO is the only thing keeping them alive. But as the harshness of their new reality sets in, Tina and James soon realize that being the best in the game is no longer good enough.

Good fantasy read but not up to the hype.
it's a decent fantasy mmo story but it hardly holds up to the depth of SAO. And while the depth and realism of adding real life physics to a game world does add realism the obvious feminism in the writing compromises the character believability. No nerdy gamer is going to give up getting hooked up with waifu straight out of hand like that. But at the same time that was some pretty cliched "rapey" behavior for the fish guy which is also unrealistic, even if he was delusional. There are several very interesting issues brought up. But it just seems some of them clash with normal human behavior and what one would expect in game culture or from introverted nerds spending all their time gaming. This is why I'm giving this book 4 stars instead of 5. Too much feminism and too little character development to explain the discrepancies.
Also it seems to be lacking in fan service if it's going to compare itself to SAO and WOW. I mean come on one of the major plot points of SAO is the romance and ecchi which spans though several seasons. But in FFO sex is only mentioned in the context of rape, gender confusion, or species losing interest in other species. There seems to be something going on between SP and Roxxy but it's vauge. Hardly comparable to what you'd find in anime or games.
So again while this is a good fantasy novel it's not really up to the hype.

very impressed
I really enjoyed this book, it didn't have a million characters. I actually knew where we were at and who the characters were, I have been on a bad roll of books that get lost down too many lines and mc being way too op, this was very refreshing and made me laugh as well. thanks
