Not a bad novel, but the first two are much better

Generally, I liked this novel. There were some stories that I felt either were way too repetitive or just plain didn't belong in the novel or Star Wars itself. I do feel like the novel should have ended with the second last story, but I guess the last story makes sense. It kind of ended with a puff rather than a bang. At times I get the feeling like they are just trying to check boxes and fit certain political views into stories where they don't matter.
Overall, I would buy this again because I love Star Wars and you do get some stories and some lore that you don't get elsewhere. The narration is top-notch throughout the whole novel.

A Worthy Conclusion

As with the previous entries in the "Certain Point of View" series, not every story in this collection will be your favourite. But, in my opinion, that's not a bad thing.

The beauty of Star Wars is in the sheer number of different stories there are to be found in it. As with the movies and TV shows, so with the stories in this book. Not everyone will like all of them, but every story will be someone's favourite by sheer dint of this fanbase's diversity. If you're someone who believes that all Star Wars is good Star Wars to someone, you want this book.

As with previous entries, the stories run the gamut from hilarious to heartbreaking. From a Certain Point of View remains one of the best sources of queer representation in Star Wars (though not without a few forays into the "Bury Your Gays" trope that I think could have been avoided). The writers' collective willingness to explore the deeper, darker, and often more absurdist sides of the Galaxy Far, Far Away remains consistently refreshing.

The voice cast is absolutely top notch. Fans of the Clone Wars will be happy to hear the likes of Nika Futterman and Sam Witwer popping up. Fans of Star Wars audiobooks in general will be overjoyed to see the likes of Marc Thompson and January Lavoy, among many other regulars. The sheer vocal prowess on display is nothing short of brilliant.

Good performance, weakest story for Certain Point of Views

Everyone did a good job on the book, but the stories themselves where the problem. What was good about the NH and Empire versions was they balanced the fun and interesting extra stories connecting to the movies without overstepping. This book just seemed to want to overstep and influence the movies to much, and also felt repetitive with “person x is an imp, now watch was the swap sides and play a major role.”
