I love how descriptive this author is. He certainly does his homework on a wide spectrum of topics. Great book!

Excellent 'Gunther' Mystery
Although there are no deaths in this Archer Mayor Procedural - and spot-on medical forensics is one of the strongest features of his books - I was very impressed.
In 'Fruit Of The Poisonous Tree', Brattleboro, Vermont PD Lieutenant Joe Gunther investigates the home invasion/rape of his girlfriend, town selectwoman/councilperson Gail. The author still rushes interviews (scripting them with stilted dialogue), his description skills are pedestrian, and action sequences feel obligatory.. but his handling of post-traumatic victim reactions - and the emotional effects on partners of rape victims - is both deft and sensitive. The story is uncommonly authentic-sounding.
Tom Taylorson helps the book with a truly praiseworthy performance, too. Blackstone Audio Inc. provides exemplary technical support to a narration characterized by professional diction & pacing, comfortable timbre & cadence, and outstanding tone & voice-acting.
This 9.5/10-star entry in the series is one of the strongest that I've encountered. If you can get it as a 'Plus' option.. do not hesitate. The book would actually rate a Credit for any fan of Mystery-Thrillers.

Great
Although this a difficult subject to listen to and double difficult because it happened to Gail - I like this character and can feel the emotions in my gut - glad they got the culprit in the end 💕
