À propos de cet audio
A clandestine race of half-dragon, half-humans known as dragon-shifters lives among us. Bastian, leader of the Nightfury dragon clan, is sworn to protect humankind at all costs. For him, honor and duty always come first. When the clan dictates he take a human mate to sire a son, he falters, aware that for a human to birth a dragon-shifter she must die. Myst, the woman given into his care, is the most extraordinary he’s ever met, and though he can’t bear the thought of harming her, he is bound by duty.
Myst loves her life in the human world, but Bastian has captured her heart in an instant of electric connection. But Bastian and his warriors are in the middle of a deadly battle with the Razorback dragon-shifters, intent on killing every Nightfury clan member - and the humans they protect - the fate of their world and ours hangs in the balance. An extraordinary blend of action, fantasy, and steamy romance, Fury of Fire brings to life a dangerous new world intertwined with the survival of humanity, all while exploring the meaning of honor and the nature of true love.

Wow! What a dumpster fire
Where to begin, there is just so much that is horrible about this book. The male lead kidnaps the female lead from a grisly death scene, and its supposed to be sexy that he has become obsessed with the female lead with in moments of meeting her and plotting how to get her to be with him and have his kid even though he thinks it will kill her. Even if i could look past the extremely creepy nature of their "meet cute" and his stalker attitude, the rest of the book is just as bizarre. The male characters all refer to the women in the book as "female" in a way kind of dehumanizing them. The main female character is treated as an object from the very beginning rather than as a person, the most startling part wad how fast she turns from rightly thinking he's a psycho kidnapper to thinking he is sexy (seriously within 2 hours of her abduction). After he gets the girl to his secret creepy lair he tells her there is no possibility of escape, honestly how is that not a messed up serial killer type thing to say? The villain is absolutely disgusting, he's a character that wants to imprison human women for his renegade group to breed with, i know he's supposed to be truly awful but honestly to my mind he is not really much different than the male lead; who kidnapped the heroine for the purpose of impregnating her all the while thinking she will die in child birth, did i mention how mind blowing creepy this novel is! I got a real sense that the author really doesn't think much of woman The recurring misogynic tone, the horribly flat boring characters and the plot inconsistencies make this book a serious pass for anyone who doesn't think women are mindless idiots in need of constant male protection for their own good. The only good things i can say are that the narrator was great he did a wonderful job with what is truly a dumpster fire. It was a messy read that i won't recommend. I do know that this is the authors first book so hopefully her books improved over time but I will never know because i refuse to go any farther with this series.
