It’s Good, But Different
The story is a bit rockier with all the twists and turns associated with figuring out the new casts of characters and events.
Overall a large drop in quality from the past books, but the main problem is Ray. It’s not the fact that he isn’t R.C. Bray, it’s the fact that he obviously didn’t listen to any of the previous audiobooks. Which is a lot for someone to do, but he really just needed to match the pronunciation of original characters like Chhun or Aeson.
Other than the small annoyance of his butchering of the names, it’s good. Would recommend.

great as always, however
Story was very enjoyable like all in the series however the narration took a bit to get use too.
After listening to Bray narrate so many in this series it was a struggle to follow. In the end I enjoyed and appreciated Porter's work for this book.

Important book in the series and great read.
Fantastic read. went through the entire series without listening to this one first because the reviews weren't amazing. to my delight I found that this book was, not only an amazing story, but also an essential read as far as understanding the story moving forward in the series.

Worth your while despite the changes
Like many mentioned, the narrator change will feel very jarring. Porter is no RC Bray but it didn't take me long to get used to Porter's apathetic drawl and long intakes of breath. He kind of reminded me of Bill Paxton. The story and tone is a little more mean spirited/morally grey so Porter's style suited it.
Yes it's true this book is all brand new characters, but I found both of the parallel storylines a lot of fun. If you enjoy the Galaxys Edge series you'll no doubt enjoy this book and is worth your credits. And who are we kidding if you've already gone through 5 of these books we know you're going to keep going!

Average story and a new narrator.
The story was alright. The characters aren't as interesting as the last set. I thought there was a new legion commander for about the first 1/3 of the book when I realized the two readers just had wildly different pronunciations of the same name. This is one of the most annoying things when they swap performers in a book series. You NEED to be consistent! Dropped a star for performance and overall just for the lack of preparation and execution. I won't be continuing with this series.

This is not book 6!
This is book 5.5. it contains none of the characters from the main series, and has a different narrator than what appears to be the entire rest of the series which really throws you off. I ended up returning this story as I really want to get back into the main plot line. Not necessarily bad but I find it's misleading that the cover art says book 6 and then the first words out of the narrator's mouth is book 5.5. I may revisit this story later on.

disappointed
not sure why this say its part 6 of the galaxy war series..... aside from a few references to the other stories. all new characters, nothing to do with Prisma, Keel or any of the other books. my recommendation is stop at part 5 as it finishes the series way better than listening to this will.
