"Girl Logic" is Iliza's term for the way women obsess over details and situations that men don't necessarily even notice. When confronted with critical decisions about dating, sex, work, even getting dressed in the morning, Iliza argues that women will by nature consider every repercussion of every option before making a move toward what they really want. And that kind of holistic thinking can actually give women an advantage in what is still a male world.
In Iliza's own words: "Understanding Girl Logic is a way of embracing both our aspirations and our contradictions. GL is the desire to be strong and vulnerable. It's wanting to be curvy, but rail thin at the same time. It's striving to kick ass in a man's world while still being loved by the women around you.

love it. *humour required
this was a fantastic book. I've often been told I'm too outspoken. I am assertive and I know who I am which scares people..(I'm no bully!).but this feedback sometimes has you questioning even the things you are confident in at times..this book is fantastic even though I'm very self aware because it takes a fantastically blunt stance on saying it is okay, good and encouraged.

Love Her!
I never really knew much about Iliza before listening to her book and I just loved it! Made me want to devour more of her work and to my surprise...she gets better each time! Bonus points for her actual voice reading her words to me! #audible1

Hilarious yet provoking
I really enjoyed this book. It was funny, yet thoughtful and full of adventure. The author shared intimate detail yet let you make your own decisions or images.

great book
I am much older and definitely not a girly girl but I am really enjoyed this book. I think hearing the actual author read was a good part of the reason. I could relate to her and she put the inflections she intended.

I love this book!
I appreciate her honesty and perspective on life. I listened to the whole book in one day! I just couldn't stop listening. I hope she goes on to write much more and continues to share her brilliant view with the rest of us. Thanks Iliza! PS I'm now following her on social media.

Great! 4.5 stars … but
I enjoyed so much of this book - Iliza Schlesinger is funny, smart, insightful and pulls no punches!
She shares life lessons from the first decades of her life, inspires women to go for it - whatever & wherever ‘it’ is.
She en outages women to stand up for themselves, build their dreams and take no ‘…’!
A recurring message that I believe she means is to support other women, don’t tear them down- we are up against enough already …
She is fabulously passionate at getting that message out !
The only thing that stopped me from a 5 star was that while she is championing women to support each other with one loud rally cry she is also whispering ( literally) comments that are wickedly judgemental.
Judging wow on everything from wardrobe to life choices.
Equally or maybe more distasteful are her attempts at being funny through disrespectful and ageist comments about the women who’ve gone before … not in comedy but in life… ‘… your mom’ or ‘…some old lady’
I was disappointed by this.
Otherwise I enjoyed the book and am still a fan.

Funny, engaging, and unexpectedly inspiring.
I'm a long standing fan of Iliza's. Being a 22 year old female I purchased this book believing it was the fulfillment of my wish for more than just an hour of Iliza on Netflix. But more than comedy (which this book is definitely not lacking) I got a lot of positive statements that both confirmed and supplemented my own beliefs and gave me a renewed sense of optimism. Whether you're looking to understand girls, are a girl and just want to laugh at our insane gender, or are stuck in a mental rut and looking for some comedic reality to re-light that fire under your ass this book is sure to deliver.
